Our immersive English as a New Language (ENL) classes enable students to rapidly improve their English language skills and build connections for life in New York State and beyond. Students practice reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar from the beginner through the advanced levels. Students practice in a variety of ways, including through conversations, role plays, exercises, and field trips, to develop both accuracy and fluency. Our classes help students gain confidence in everyday situations, build friendships with classmates, increase their understanding of American culture, learn communication skills for jobs, pursue their American High School Equivalency Diploma and higher education (undergraduate and graduate degree), connect to people and events in the Ithaca area, and have fun while learning!
